Hi Joyce, you are talking about my Medusa Sculptress painting of Georgia. Yes, she has been gone for some time now and we all miss her. What a wonderful person. Thanks for looking at my blog. I hope that you will also get a chance to see my web site at www.pamjenningsart.com. I am in the final weeks of an MFA painting program at Brooklyn College! If you were in NY you could come to the thesis exhibit and catch up on my current work. Glad you found my blog. Pam

Thanks Val. I know what you mean about scoring one's own responses. At least you have a response... My problem is color shock.... Sometimes I just have to absorb all of the color, sit with it for awhile and then I can pick up on the suggestive effects of the paintings and produce a response period.

Loving your Rorschach revisited series. The three on the website home page are beautiful, haunting but most of all evocative. The colors feel like they are color in a monochromatic way. I am trying not to score my responses.

Hi Keren, I sent you an e-mail about a week ago saying that I do sell my work. I have some new paintings (acrylic on canvas) that were just photographed. I will put some of them up on this web site. I'd be happy to talk to you further so feel free to respond either here or to the e-mail that I sent to you.

I wanted to know more about your background in Rorschach paintings and the basis of your interest. Can you say? That might be interesting for my blog readers.

Also depending on where you live, I am in an MFA program in the NY area and we are having open studios April 8th and 9th. If you live anywhere in the area I can give you more specific info. Many thanks, Pam.

OK, so you helped me define my work more clearly by articulating that I am actually exploring the boundary between perception and reality. Many thanks! It reminds me of the questions raised by contemporary art from the 60's onward. That is; what is real and what is not real. Your comment brings up the subtle process of making a decision about what is really "out there" (in the external world) and what is really "in here" (my head). What is the relationship between the two in one's experience of the world/self? What great questions to pose to the world via art.

This concept of intersubjective art, and your illustration of how the cone was interpreted by various people, is absolutely fascinating. It reminds me that the boundary between perception and reality is an active process that is perhaps best explored through art!
